The 2008 Camp Group with the Queensland Reds Coaching Staff

Program                    

Identifies the best 50 players throughout the State and puts the players through an intensive four day camp in Brisbane. 

Target Age               

Turning 14 or 15 in the current calendar year.

Identification             

Players can be identified through both club or school sporting competitions and their respective representative pathways. Players can also be nominated using the form at the bottom of this page - this nomination does not gurantee the player selection in the Camp.

Time                          

Term 4 - TBC.

The 2008 Junior Reds Under 15 Camp proved to be a success at a number of levels.  Firstly, 40% of players selected in the Camp were identified from regional areas with 7 out of the 15 players named in the Queensland Under 15 Merit XV coming from outside Brisbane. Secondly, the coaching support from the Reds Performance Rugby Department was instrumental in providing one of the highest quality coaching groups in Australia.  All players received coaching from Queensland Reds Head Coach Phil Mooney; Queensland Reds Assistant Coaches Mark Bell & Damon Emtage; and QAS Reds Academy Head Coach Paul Carozza.  Finally the camp culminated in the presentation of the Queensland Under 15 Merit XV with Nick Malouf being named as Captain.
