The objective of the QAS Reds Academy is to provide international standard, long-term rugby development programs both on and off the field for players 17+ years of age, driving potential representation at the highest level of Queensland Rugby (QR Reds) and the Wallabies.
It also provides genuine coaching and development opportunities to aspiring and potential professional coaches (QR Reds and National Teams)
QAS Reds Rugby Academy
The Queensland Academy of Sport Rugby Union program is integrated into the Reds Academy program to form the QAS Reds Academy Program.
The partnership provides excellent financial and human resource support to achieve the targets set within the Academy program. The targeted Academy intake satisfies the ‘best available’ player selection objectives set by both the QAS and the Reds Performance Rugby Department.
The partnership with the QAS offers valuable opportunities for expert services and high performance systems with the QR Reds and player development programs into the future. The QRU and QR Reds are very fortunate to have the QAS as one of their rugby program’s key partners.
