FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Q. I am an existing member, what happens if I do not renew my membership before the cut-off date?

A. Should your seat still be available we will offer it to you, but it is not guaranteed.

 

Q. I wish to become new member, how do I apply?

A. Purchase on-line and pick your seat or submit a request. Requests will be processed in date receipt order.

 

Q. Can I arrange membership as a gift?

A. Yes you can. Contact the Membership Department to arrange the seating and collect payment without ruining the surprise!

 

Q. How can I pay for my membership?

A. The following methods are available:

Credit card – Mastercard, Visa and American Express

Bank cheque or money order* – make payable to Queensland Rugby

Cash* – please visit QRU Headquarters at 231 Butterfield Street, Herston. Please do not post cash in the mail.

*Bank cheque or cash not an option for online sales.

 

Q. Why does my membership card refer to an 'aisle' at Suncorp Stadium?

A. The aisle on your membership card refers to the nearest entry point to your seats within your section at Suncorp Stadium. eg Aisles 301 and 302 may both refer to Section 301 depending on which end of the row they are located.

 

Q. Can I get an unlicensed seat?

A. Yes. There is an unlicensed section available in Silver seating in the Family Zone in section 309.

 

Q. Is disabled seating available?

A. Yes, there are a number of seats/spaces available in each category of membership. Contact the Membership Department to discuss. Disabled seating will be charged at a discount rate.

 

Q. Can my seat be guaranteed undercover?

A. No. To guarantee a seat undercover is to guarantee that a seat will remain dry when it rains. Whilst a majority of the seats are under the roof-line they may still get wet when it rains, therefore no such guarantee can be made.

 

Q. Can I put more than one membership in one name?

A. Yes, we encourage you to do so.

 

Q. Can I transfer my membership to a friend to use?

A. Yes, all Reds Memberships are completely transferable. All members shall receive a membership card in their name which can be used by third parties. Alternatively, see below for paper ticket option. Please be aware that entry to the stadium will be subject to the category of membership (eg. An adult will not be admitted with a junior’s membership card or a junior will not be admitted to the Red Zone seating).

 

Q.  I would prefer to receive paper tickets for each match rather than a membership card for the season – can I do this?

A. Yes. There will be an administration charge to cover the costs of arranging this. We will also send you an un-barcoded membership card so that you can still enjoy the benefits of being a member as some outlets require you to present your membership card to gain discounts etc.

 

Q. Can I purchase additional home match day tickets?

A. Yes. If you present your membership card at a Ticketek outlet in advance or any Ticketek window on match day, you will be able to purchase at a discounted price (discount does not apply to all categories).  

 

Q. How do I replace my membership card if it is lost or stolen?

A. You will need to contact the Membership Hotline 1300 733 899 to arrange a replacement card. The barcode of the original card will be cancelled. A fee for replacing a lost card will be $27.50 and payment can be accepted by credit card.

 

Q. When will I receive my membership card?

A. Each Member will receive a membership card unless paper tickets are requested. Membership cards will be delivered via standard Australia Post delivery beginning in December. If included in your membership, membership packs that include merchandise will include a voucher for members to collect merchandise.  

 

Q. How do I collect my match day programme and cap?

A. Platinum and Gold members (including Gold Family membership) receive one match day programme voucher per member (one per Gold family membership). These vouchers are to be presented to the programme sellers on match day to receive your programme. Programmes are only available while stocks last. Programme vouchers will be included in your membership pack. Member caps can be collected from the ISC outlet at Ballymore or at Suncorp Stadium ISC outlet on match days using the voucher.

 

Q. Where are the Reds Members' bars / dining facility located at Suncorp Stadium?

A. There are two Reds Members' facilities at Suncorp Stadium. Please present your membership card on entry. Members may take in 2 guests. 1) Located on Level 2 of the Western Stand, entry is from level 3 concourse or the seating areas of the Western Lower Stand; 2) The bar and dining facility is located on Level 5 of the Southern Stand is the Milton Room, entry is via the Level 5 concourse. Note that the bar in the Milton Room is only open pre-match and pre-bookings are required for dining. Bookings are required for dining, more information here soon.

Q. Is there any car parking available at Suncorp Stadium?

A. No, unfortunately QR Reds members do not have access to car parking. However, free return public transport throughout Brisbane will be available to all members on presentation of their 2008 membership card. 

 

Q. Where do I go for membership assistance on game days at Suncorp Stadium?

A. If you require membership assistance on Match Days (ie. lost cards, seating issues) please visit the QRU membership window at Gate E at Suncorp Stadium (Northern end).

 

Q. Can I still gain access to the venue if I leave my card at home?

A. Yes – please visit the QRU membership window at Gate E at Suncorp Stadium.

 
Q. Can I upgrade a junior ticket to an adult?

A. Yes. If you are holding a Junior Membership and you are unable to attend a match you are entitled to upgrade the junior membership to an adult ticket for that match. To do this you need to bring your junior membership card to the ticket office on match day and pay the family membership junior 'upgrade'. The ticket office will print a ticket to acknowledge your payment of the upgrade. You are required to use both the ticket and the membership card to gain entry into the venue. These upgrade tickets can also be pre-purchased.


Q. Why can’t I retain my same seat for Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series Test Matches?

A. As the Test Match is controlled by the ARU, the ARU allocates the seating. There is a list of priorities for allocations. The QRU Members are ranked 11th on this list behind; Stadium Members, Wallaby First, Wallaby First Plus Members, ARU Sponsors, ARU Board, Players families, Hospitality Functions, International Travel groups, QRU Perpetual Ground Members, QRU 30 Year Members, QRU Members.
