Barbarians match tickets on sale
Reserved seating and standing room tickets for the July 13 Qld XV-Barbarians match at Ballymore are now available to purchase.
The Barbarians team will include former All Blacks Scott Robertson and Justin Marshall, England World Cup winning winger Dan Luger, Argentina’s Gonzalo Quesada and former Wallaby and Reds star Toutai Kefu.
The team will be coached by Alan Jones, making his rugby coaching return in tandem with Alec Evans, his forwards coach on the triumphant 1984 Grand Slam Wallaby Tour.
The Queensland XV will be led by David Croft.
The Sunday afternoon Ballymore event will include pre-match picnics and post-match entertainment and will be a major fund-raiser for an off-season development tour for the QR Reds.
The QRU has also offered to use the match to help raise funds for the Souths club in Brisbane, which is facing crippling legal bills from a court action over its plans for a second field for club games.
