John Roe
John took over the captaincy of the Reds midway through 2005, leading by example through the difficult 2006 and 2007 seasons, where he proved to be one of the competition's most consistent players.
Always reliable and effective for the Reds, those qualities also brought him into reckoning for the Wallabies, where he debuted during RWC 2003, played in the 2004 Tri-Nations series and was selected for the end of season tours to Europe in 2004 and 2005.
Equally at home at number eight or blindside flanker, John has also represented his country at 'A' level and at Sevens.
John completed his final year of Medical Studies in 2006 and is now a qualified doctor.
In 2007 he was voted Reds Team Man of the Year.
He joined the 100 cap club in March 2008, playing against the Brumbies in Canberra.
