Sean Hardman
Thursday, 1 February 2007

QR Queensland Reds hooker Sean Hardman and centre Ben Tune will each play their 100th game for Queensland in Saturday's Investec Super 14 opener at Suncorp Stadium, after being named today in the team to play the Hurricanes.

Tune, who today announced his intention to retire at the end of the current Super 14 season, and Hardman will become the first players since Chris Latham in 2005 to be admitted to the exclusive club, joining 21 other Queensland greats.

Queensland will field a near Test-strength forward pack, while in the backs Andrew Brown has been called in to partner Tune in the centres and rugby league convert Clinton Schifcofske will make his Super 14 debut.

Scrumhalf Nic Berry has shaken off a strong pre-season challenge from rookie Will Genia to be named in the run-on side, with Genia named on the bench.

Uncapped rookies, centre Charlie Fetoai and winger Brando Va'alu have also been named on the bench.
