Revered for his gentle manners as much as his grace and skill, Paul was one of Australia's and Queensland's most prolific point-scorers.

He notched an amazing 263 points in 31 Tests for Australia and posted his 1000^th point for Queensland in his 100^th appearance in the final match of Queensland Rugby's centenary year in 1982.
