Player Bio

Liam Wright will look to build on his breakout maiden Super Rugby season and he enters his second year with the St.George Queensland Reds in 2019.

The young flanker came off the bench to make his Reds debut against the Rebels in Round 2 and went on to play 12 matches for Queensland. A torn hamstring cut his 2018 NRC campaign with Queensland Country short after suffering the injury in Round 2 against the Rising in Townsville.

His 2017 season included an undefeated national title with the Queensland U20s, Player of the Year honours with the Australian U20s, a National Rugby Championship title with Bond University Queensland Country, an exhibition game for Australia against the Barbarians and a call up to the Wallabies spring tour as a development player.



2018
Made his Super Rugby debut for the Reds as a replacement against the Melbourne Rebels in Round 2. Played two matches for Queensland Country in the NRC, before being ruled out for the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury.
2017
Claimed back-to-back national U20s title during an undefeated season with Queensland U20s. Represented Australian U20s in Georgia and was named player of the year. A member of Queensland Country’s NRC-winning campaign. Represented the Wallabies against the Barbarians in an exhibition match. Selected as a development player for the Wallabies spring tour.
2016
A member of the Queensland U20s side which claimed the national title. A member of the Australian U20s side. Made his Queensland Country debut in their upset win over the NSW Country Eagles at Clive Berghofer Stadium in Toowoomba.
