Player Bio

Jono Lance returns to where it all began for the 27-year-old flyhalf with more than 50 Super Rugby Caps of experience to his name. In his seven years as a professional Rugby player, Lance has earned caps for the Reds, Waratahs and Western Force but has always recognised Ballymore as home.

Back in 2011, Lance started at fullback against the Crusaders as the Reds claimed their first ever Super Rugby title in front of a full house at Ballymore. At the Waratahs, Lance won his second Super Rugby title in 2014 while his time in the West saw him also collect the 2016 National Rugby Championship.

Having just completed a short stint with the Worcester Warriors in the English Premiership, Lance returns to Ballymore as one of the most experienced members of the Reds’ backline.

2011 - 2013
Made his Super Rugby debut in Perth against the Western Force back in 2011 and helped the Reds to that famous 18-13 victory over the Crusaders in the final. Lance earned 21 caps for the Reds before his move south of the border and spent time at both flyhalf and fullback.

*Please note, the scoring in the National Rugby Championship changed from seasons 1 and 2 to season 3. In 2014 and 2015 tries were worth 5 points, conversions 3 points, penalties/drop goals 2 points. In 2016, tries were worth 6 points, conversions/penalty goals/drop goals 2 points.
