Player Bio

After a standout 2018 season with Bond University Queensland Country in the National Rugby Championship (NRC), Jock Campbell was handed a St.George Queensland Reds contract as part of the Wider Training Squad for 2019.

Campbell is genuine product of the Queensland Club Rugby system. He played in the Second XV at The Southport School in 2013 and went on to star for University of Queensland in Queensland Premier Rugby, forming part of their 2017 title side. In the same year, he was also a member of Queensland Country’s NRC premiership campaign. Hailing from Inverell in country New South Wales, the Queensland Country jersey holds special meaning for Campbell.



2018
Campbell backed up his five matches for Queensland Country in 2017 by starting in every match for Country in 2018, including playing in the NRC Grand Final against the Fijian Drua. He also finished runner-up with the Heavies in Queensland Premier Rugby.
2017
After proving himself to be a key member of the University of Queensland’s backline since graduating from The Southport School in 2013, Campbell was rewarded with a premiership – winning the Hospital Cup in 2017. He also played five games for Queensland Country during their 2017 NRC title-winning year.
2016
Jock was a member of Queensland’s Rugby Sevens National Championship winning side.
