Player Bio

Young flyhalf Hamish Stewart joins the St.George Queensland Reds Senior Squad in 2018 following a busy and prosperous 2017.

Stewart helped steer the Queensland U20s to an undefeated national title in 2017, before representing the Australian U20s at the World Rugby U20 Championships, making his Reds debut and finally helping Queensland Country claim its first National Rugby Championship title.

The 19-year-old honed his craft at Toowoomba Grammar School and has shown promise as a pivot with good game sense, management and a sound boot.



2017
A standout player for Queensland U20s in their undefeated run to a second-straight national title. Earned his Super Rugby debut in Round 7 against the Brumbies in Canberra. Scored his first Super Rugby try in the Reds’ last home game of the season. Starred for the Australian U20s at the World Rugby U20s Championship in Georgia. Steered Queensland Country to its first NRC title. Named the Queensland U19 player of the year.
