Player Bio

After making his St.George Queensland Reds debut in the final match of the 2018 Super Rugby season and playing a key role throughout Bond University Queensland Country’s 2018 NRC campaign, Angus Blyth will look to build on this experience in 2019.

Blyth formed a formidable partnership with fellow tall timber Harry Hockings for Queensland and Australia at U20s level, before teaming up again for Bond University Queensland Country as they won the 2017 National Rugby Championship.

Blyth is also a recipient of the John Eales Rugby Excellence Scholarship at Bond University, which recognises exceptional Rugby players with strong academic, leadership and community skills.



2018
Represented the Australian U20s at the Oceania Rugby U20 Championships and the World Rugby U20 Championships. Made his Super Rugby debut against the Sunwolves in the Reds final match of 2018. Played in every match for Bond University Queensland Country in 2018, including playing in the Grand Final against Fijian Drua and finished the season with two tries.
2017
A member of Queensland’s undefeated U20s which claimed the national title. Featured throughout Queensland Country’s title-winning National Rugby Championship campaign.
