St.George Queensland Reds announce squad for Rebels pre-season match in Ballarat

The St.George Queensland Reds have confirmed a 28-man travelling squad for Friday’s pre-season fixture against the Rebels at Mars Stadium in Ballarat.

The squad features a strong mix of experience and exciting fresh talent in what will be the Reds first hit-out of 2019.

Reds head coach Brad Thorn said: “We’ve worked hard in the pre-season. It’s a good opportunity for the boys to have a hit-out in a trial game.

“It’s good to see the new guys stepping up. They’ve been rewarded for their hard work and they’ll make the most of this opportunity.”

The match in Ballarat will be the first of two pre-season fixtures for the Reds, as Queensland next host two-time Super Rugby champions the Chiefs on Friday February 8 at Ballymore.

Tickets for the match can be secured through Oztix here (insert bit ly link -  http://bit.ly/2AGbp0X ) with prices starting at $20 for an adult, concession $15 and $10 for juniors.

In between the two pre-season fixtures, the Reds will also hold their annual Fan Day on Sunday February 3 between 10am-12pm at Ballymore.

The annual St.George Queensland Reds Fan Day promises to be a morning of fun-filled activities and will include something for the whole family from face painting and inflatable rugby games, to a signing session with Reds players, as well as coffee and a barbeque breakfast.
