Brad Thorn has assumed a coach/player role for Queensland Country in an attempt to further develop the talented Country squad. Thorn’s career is decorated across two codes, experiencing success with the Brisbane Broncos, Queensland State of Origin and Australian Kangaroos.


In Rugby, Thorn has Super Rugby titles, Bledisloe Cups and the 2011 World Cup to add to his personal trophy cabinet. This experience will be priceless for the young Queensland Country squad, particularly locks Izack Rodda and Phil Potgeiter.


Thorn coached Rodda in the inaugural Super U20s Championship and will now be able to deliver a different coaching experience, packing down alongside Rodda.
