Tough, gritty and uncompromising are just some of the words commonly used to refer to Queensland Country prop Ben Daley.

Having played his ninth season of Super Rugby, Ben’s career has been unfortunately punctuated by injury. He enters the 2016 NRC season fresh from an extended layoff following a torn pectoral muscle.

In addition to the hard work Ben puts in on the field and in the gym, he recently received recognition for his work in the classroom, receiving the 2015 RUPA Award for Academic Achievement after completing his Bachelor of Laws at Bond University following nine years of study.

Having grown up on the Gold Coast, Ben is looking forward to finally donning the Queensland Country jersey after missing the first two seasons of the competition.
