The very epitome of Queensland Country, Rob Simmons hails from the tiny country town of Theodore (population 452) in Central Queensland. The Reds and Wallabies lock is one of the most consistent tight-five players in Australian Rugby.

Simmons was a member of a star-studded championship-winning Southport School First XV in 2006, which also included Reds and Queensland Country teammate James Slipper.
