Lolo Fakaosilea has been touted as one of Australian Rugby Union’s brightest young stars since first appearing for the Queensland and Australian Schoolboys in 2012.

Having grown up playing in Emerald as a junior, the backrower had to drive for two hours from Emerald to Rockhampton to play every weekend. Fakaosilea represented Central Queensland at the Junior State Championships in 2011.

After a strong Super Rugby debut against the Hurricanes, Fakaosilea went on to earn 4 caps for the Reds in 2015. Earlier in the year, in the Reds trial match with the Crusaders, Fakaosilea injured his hamstring and was unable to add to his Super Rugby tally.
